This is an experiential course written by Paul Francis, author and founder of The Three Ravens College
The course covers the basic history and concepts of Shamanism, how to easily move into a shamanic journey, find and connect with your Power Animal, how to do a healing journey for someone using interpersonal skills and ethical practice and reconnect to the shamanic realms.
The course is structured over eight sessions of 1-1.5 hours, (either over four or eight weeks)
and includes pre recorded videos, live sessions, theory talks, question and answer sessions, group discussions, experiential exercises and practice.
for more details about the content of each session got to www.therapeutic-shamanism.co.uk
We use the platform Zoom meetings. You will need a computer, tablet or smart phone and have a good internet connection, download the Zoom App and be able to work in a private space to keep confidentiality. We can offer help with setting this up if needed.
A Zoom link will be sent to you before the session which will allow you into a virtual waiting room and we advise that you join at least 10 minutes before the session starts to allow time to access the meeting. The meeting will lock once started.
You will have the option of joining a peer-led group on WhatsApp or Slack to offer each other support and encouragement between sessions and any questions can be pre submitted to tutors before the start of next session.
* Mental Health
Shamanic work can be of great benefit with mental health issues such as
anxiety, depression and self esteem issues. However it does require a
degree of mental robustness, emotional resilience and being grounded.
If you have or have a history of psychosis, mania, severe depression or
dissociative disorders then Shamanic work is contra-indicated.
If you are unsure please contact us to discuss this confidentially.
